Good to great
There are questions among us that we use to ask by our self. The questions are “did I work in a perfect place?” or “how do I know that I choose a right path?”. Those questions usually happen when we feel unsatisfied with our job. For some reason, people didn't know about their dream. We can see that there are a lot of people that love their job and have passionate about their job and also make a great success in their job. “Good to great” is one of the book that been written by Jim Collins. He makes a research to know why there are some company that can sustain their brand and having a top level in the market. Jim Collins concludes that they have become “Good to Great” which is a value to knowing how we can be success in our market.
Jim Collins said that there are three elements which can make a person or company from good to great. First element is Passionate to what you do. Second element is aim to be the best in what you do. Third element is run your economic engine from what you do. Those elements must be combining each other than you will become from good to great.
Knowing your passion is not so easy. You must have a clear mind to know about you passion. Sometimes people make mistake in their life but it's usual to make a mistake. People learn something from their mistake than try to fix it. So try to think deeply about your passion even your passion is not related to your official education. Example, you're an administration in your company and you know that your dream is become child psychiatry than you must change your job and learn to become child psychiatry.
After you know your passion, you must have an aim in that job. Aiming to be the best and always make improvement in the job. Try to make something new in the level and have a study to increase your knowledge even it didn't fit on your education background.
You also have to make money from that job. That job must be your economic engine and fulfill your economic expectation. When you do your passion, you must be an idealist person but become idealist mustn't make you to be a beggar. If you become poor after you do your passion, it mean you not become good to great.
Having known your job interest is important and it will be your motivation in your life. If you do that three things and you will make your working condition become good to great.
